Our Story
In the Spring of 2000, 20 noble men overcame obstacles to kindle a new vision and rechartered the great chapter of Eta Xi.
First Four Black Chapters:
Howard University (Zeta Iota)-1952
Lincoln University (Zeta Xi)-1953
Fisk University (Zeta Rho)-1953
Tennessee State University (Eta Xi) -1956
In the Spring of 1956, fourteen men decided to charter a chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at The Tennessee State University. What they started at that time has developed and evolved into an amazing brotherhood like none other. These musicianly men have helped the chapter to set a standard of excellence and move On and Ever Upward for future generations to come.
